Archangels of the Sword, Red Knyght Rising A novel by Jacob Francis Malewitz

“And they came at night, the warriors in black with the swords of light, keeping the forces of evil at bay, and they sought to change the world by day.”
 -- Norman Poet
Chapter 1: The Scrivener
…The dream changes. I find myself at a wooden table. There is a green knyght here. I wish I was having a normal dream, not another of this knyght. Another painting is behind him and at first I think it be a woman’s visage. I look closer and see an angel with dark eyes, a sword in her hand, like a warrior from the side of satan. How could I confuse the two? This is an evil archangel; there is no doubt. Who is this green knyght?

“William are you listening?” My hands were tight on the old oak table. I tried not to sound confused.
“Yes, I am listening, Guyus.”
“We were talking about your favorite story … or at least trying to. Since these lessons have continued, you seem to grow more bored with every new discussion.”
“Gowain and the Green Knyght. That be my favorite.”
“Good,” Guyus replied. “Why?”
“I don’t know. I guess it has so much meaning to it.”
“What does it mean to you?”
“It means that not everything is as it appears. It is a warning.”
He seemed surprised by my answer. I never listened much in these classes, as my dreams of being something other than a normal knyght would reveal.
Guyus was a good teacher; one of the Greek mold. He preferred anything by Sophocles to the more modern poets who were more to my liking. Arthurian tales were what kept me awake, not plays by Athenians.
“And why be the knyght green?”
“The color has no meaning.”
“Ah, my lord, that is where you’re wrong.” He smiled. I had to wonder if he knew the answer himself. “You will one day understand. Our lessons are over. One day you might be king of these lands. I can recall…” He went on about how great a student my father was. How he changed the way the fiefs across the Norman empire were run. I had no intention of following in my father’s footsteps. I would be my own man, find my own destiny. No matter what anyone said, I would do this.
“This is my last lesson to you, William. Take what books you want from me, seek out your vision, and do your best not to incite all those young girls.”

Meredith had the eyes, the touch, and the way of putting words together. All of it made me attracted to her. In some ways I despised my time with her. She was quick to correct, to offer an opinion, and she never stopped thinking. I just wanted to make love. Wanted to feel through her hair and stare through the clouds to the moon on an engaging night of kissing.
She made me read poetry out loud, saying it would help my thinking and putting thoughts together. Most of these nights I wouldn’t want to think – would do my best to avoid it – but she incited me to think about the visions of the Green Knyght. I had told no one about it, and when the knyght had come up in conversation with Gregory, I had only given my opinion. My visions were just that: Mine. I was neither ashamed of them nor fearful, though perhaps I should have been more disturbed by it at that time. Who had visions of Green Knyghts? Perhaps Franks or Visigoths, but Normans? We were a people on the echo of time. We were supposed to make something of ourselves, whether it be conquering or solving the riddle said time had.
I didn’t even tell Meredith of the Green Knyght. All the while the questions rang through my mind. Was I going mad? Was the devil toying with me as he did Christ?
The questions ceased the moment her lips met mine. She would have been a good wife for a baron, but not for a scrivener – a man who made his way designing weapons parchment or putting letters together.
“Tell me what you’re thinking,” she said. I let the silence hold the moment. I had no answer. I wasn’t sure what I was thinking then the words came out, a little more heated than I intended.
“My father.”
“When was last you –“
“Two months. The expedition to the Yin empire. I worry. What if he’s dead? I sense something is wrong. My mother is already lost. We have our differences … but I should have heard from him.”
“There are few ships that cross those waters,” she said. “You were lucky to get letters before. He is farther away than you imagine.”
She stood, naked, and I tried to bring her back to the bed. “No. You are hiding something from me. I can sense these things.”
How women had this ability was beyond me. I truly hated it, just as much as I hated struggling through life without a love as it once had been.
“I have these … visions.”
A knock came at the door, and she rushed to throw her clothes on.
“Me lord?” The voice distinct, worried perhaps at what was going on behind the door.
“Give me a moment,” I said. She rushed into the other room. It wasn’t that we were ashamed but such relationships were arranged in Norman lands. And as I watched the backside of her body, I wished I could just grasp it throughout the day and not just the nights.
I opened my eyes and walked to the door with nothing but my pants on. I opened it and saw one of my father’s servants standing at the door. “Word from your father, me lord.”
I took the letter, nodded to the servant, and shut the door. It would make my day to know that my father – a man whom I was on less than good terms – was okay. Not dead, not shipwrecked, but alive and well.
The handwriting seemed scribbled out in a chaotic fashion. The ink was all over the page. It all seemed rushed. What was wrong?
William, he wrote, tis an extreme thing to put thought to page, to make the ink sit right on the page, to attempt to administer the visions I have seen that were too detailed to be anything other than real. I digress, now I am not sure what’s real and what isn’t. As I write this letter, the Yin guide who has traveled with me since the beginning is foraging for food.Perhaps an animals died in the frosts of the lands and was preserved. One can hope for an eternity. I speak with my heart and not my mind. I won’t ever leave this land. I have been cursed. You must travel here; see it for yourself. Use whatever assets I have in Brittanai to acquire a trade ship, pick up Jonathan Dunn at the tip of Africana, take my best Welsh bowman, Francis. I fear without you the chaos will envelop me. If, when you reach the Yin city of Hong, you find I am not there, only know I will stay with you in your heart forever, for I have traveled to some land men like us weren’t meant to see. Goodbye, my son.
I looked at the page, confused. What had happened to my father? His words were convoluted. He was never this short in speaking or writing. He was a vain man who would go on forever; you had to cut him off in the middle of a story or the day would turn to night. He seemed lost in his own words this time. The reality was he could die. I had to seek him out and see what happened, or the power I had longed to avoid would be thrust upon me.
He was close to death, and that was all I could think of.
“What did it say?” I looked at her half naked body, into the eyes that revealed so much, and couldn’t come up with an answer. Nothing matched her beauty. I came to the conclusion my studious life was over.
            “Trouble.”
            “Let me go.”
“No, I could never do that.”
“Because you think I would be useless?”
“Because I don’t want to go myself.”

The Gaming Art Engine

The Gaming Art Engine
By Jacob Malewitz
Now going into book form.
Scout Rider Ages, Scout Rider50.blogspot.com, GameArtEngine.Blogspot.com
Part 1

If you call games, call your civilization. Play with your heritage. Play with your tribe. You can go with the Celts if you are a European, or play with the Chinese if you have asian ancestory. There is room for respect here: all cultures should and can be respected in gaming.

Ask for more from your family. Families must support gamers; we are not always gamers, but we remain with the addiction, with the power, and with the knowledge.

Can you call games for money? Gaming is power; gaming teaches; strategy is time, time is saved, money is saved -- money is spent, things are remembered. It’s hard to play any game for money but it can be possible, especially in the days of chess tournaments and new game boards. Every time a new game is created, weatlh is spread.

Can you call games for learning?

I would always call my civilization addiction, but far before PC there was Nintendo.

You must call something against your best game. There is always an option out: you will need this out. If you have a favorite game, why not call a game against it? This balances you with money and power. You get to learn from a new game, you get to demand more games, you get to spend money, and you get to make money in different ways. You might finish college easier, or find work to be less addicting and more demanding. Gaming can beat work: some people simply cannot escape the job. The job is  a calling, the game is a calling, and food is a calling. All things should balance here, but they don’t.

How can you make money with the gaming engine?

The real engine to try would be the opposite of what you like. Say you like chess: play hearts instead. Say you like to play Halo: play chess instead. Say you like playing poker, or you like putting money down on magic the gathering games. Why not create a game for power? This is always the best call, and we must bring it up much. The best gamers design games, not just with the mind, but with the pen and the board.

You can call depression  against gaming. You can quit. You can give it up, call it waste. There is not much money to be made in chess for the majority of us. There is not much to do with cards but lose. Yet some gamers go left and right, the brain in action.

How can you make money with art? Gaming is an art form. You are creating art and taking a break from life.

The art of gaming is incredible. IT asks for much from you. Time and effort. Therefore, gaming is not always a break.

Where next? Buy another game. Keep playing. Keep investing time into the game. It will pay you back.

The Gaming Art Engine -- Battling Hell and Conquering the World -- Part 2

Where does the gaming art engine exist? This stand alone focuses on the idea of battling hell and conquering the world with games. Games are power. Games are money. Games are respect.

The best engines sell more copies and change things. Doom created Quake. Civilization defined turn based strategy. Age of Empires introduced more history and real time strategy. Playstations created gaming football, or at least mastered it. The Wii allows you to golf in perfect motion. The X-Box allowed Microsoft to edge the market on Playstation. Sega outdid itself too much, went game, then went with art.

The game engine exists to entertain. Sometimes you get sick of watching and want to act. You cannot just sit in front of your TV. I personally hate Television. There are times I consider gaming waste too. This is all about time; you can save time, you can burn time, and you can enjoy time. The best engines are the originals. The best engines create money the market. You invest with every game you buy. You invest in your mind and you might be able to one day sell the game. Some games are worth more to be played than to be sold.

The game engine should bring you something. All this coding helps somehow. It burns time. It saves you money. It allows you pleasure. Pleasure can be won. Money can be won. This is all philosophy at this point, but you must dance with philosophy. If you call too much, you simply must dance with philosophy.

Doom is an interesting game. Created by id, the game allows you to kill demons. This sounds simple. You get a blaster, you get a soldier, and you get to travel through demonic space. Doom is art. All games are art. If you play enough, you are creating art. You are allowed to play the game your way, with your art, and find ways to beat the engine. Doom is much like an arcade game -- you play it too much you get nightmares and lose days of sleep.

Civilization came to me abut the same time as Doom. I preferred Civ. Less nightmares. You get to control a civilization from its dawning to the time man can reach space. This is a tough thing; I speak of this game much because it pretty much taught me the PC. I knew very little about computers before I played Civilization. This was early in gaming.

Age of Empires may not be the first real time strategy, but it allowed strategy gaming to take a different course. Age of Empires allows gamers to win with power; you build a military. It’s all weapons and death, right? Wrong: you build a civilization and live with the fact you cannot make many allies. The real world is like this, and the engine works in this format.

Where do you go next?
I would say gaming controls the PC. It allows us to invest money into computers. This brings jobs. This is oddly sounding, but you must consider the fact some of us learn computers simply to play games. I learned computers to play games, then I began to find ways to make money on the computer. There are many ways to make money off gaming, but you might value it for simply having fun.

This is not the end of money, time, and effort spent on gaming.

Game Art Engine - How Many Games – Part 3
How many engines can you dance with? What is your forte?

You should dance with as many games as you can master.

When do you have too many games? It’s like having too many books, or having too many drinks, or having too many comics.

It can be impossible to have too many games. Games are power. Games are worth money. Games can sell high value, especially from small design companies. I bet the original box and game of Doom or Civilization would be worth money, if you kept it long enough.

Books and games are similar. It’s time waste. Time waste is not bad.

Books, drinks, and games can be similar. Sometimes you simply have to give them away.

When do you have too many? Hording things is something gamers often do. You might want six Pepsis a day, or a brand new boston market macaroni mix every day, or a fresh cigarette once you step away from college. These can be horded: there is nothing wrong with hording food.

There is nothing wrong with hording books.

Do you like shooting? Buy some shooting games. Buy Kill Zone. Buy Halo. Buy Call of Duty. Spend money on the right first person shooter, namely the one that lasts the longest or has the best multiplayer.

Do you like strategy? I always recommend civilization and Age of Empires. Warcraft 2 and 3 are strong games for magical strategy. You can play them endlessly, earn points, and be respected.

Do you like graphics? Go with a power computer. You might want to buy too many computers or laptops along with your games. Yes, you must finance this with work, but gaming can be very rewarding. If you want to play the best games, you don’t always need awesome graphics. Play the games with the best engines.

Age of Empires Egyptian Strategy

Age of Empires Egyptian Strategy
By Jacob Malewitz
KnyghtChessGo.Wordpress.com

One game, went with Shang against Persian and Greek. I was playing with Egypt, who I enjoy playing in Age of Empires as they have a strong chariot and strong navy. I usually play Hittites and Choson, as they are the best in Deathmatch, a game where you are full on resources and have to hit on war.

I lost. My ally immediately turned, as happens in Age of Empires, and I was surprised at how fast the Persians and the Greeks hit my city,

Held point of war, went with chariot archer, elephant, and some catapult. Shang did turn late in the game as I started losing. I lost game on points. Actually, I turned on my ally before I could be hit by them, a wise strategy in Age of Empires I.

If you play with Egyptian, a tough game to play against any civ, you should try the chariot archer. Archer units can win in any strategy game. Archer units are very strong. On the other hand, you can win different with Greek.

How might you win with Egypt? Egypt is a hard empire to win with. You have some strategy here. However, you can quit and play with a different Civ. My recommendation is to play until you win. You can win, even if your ally turns. You might be able to win on points. You might be able to turn on your ally first, or hit another town, and get another gold mine.

How might you use the war elephant? The Egyptians have a strong war Elephant to use against the Greek Centurion. The Egyptians have a strong Elephant archer to use against other archers, who can beat the Elephant. And the Elephant cannot always beat the Centurion, especially the Greek Centurion.

How might you play 2v2? You should be ready for your ally to turn. You should defend your city. You should save some units in the rear. You should remember some of your strategies. You need your own original strategies. You should use some hoplites in this game: Greeks have Centurions, but these Hoplites immediately made my best critical attack to win the game. They destroyed a town and allowed me time to last.

How can you win with an ally? It's hard to win with an ally in Age of Empires: they always turn – at least in the hardest difficulty -- but you can always beat them if you plan for attack.

Age of Empires 2 is better in some ways because your ally does not turn, but the computer AI is not always as tough. I like the ally turning, because you can learn new tactics. On the other hand, this can be very hard Chess. Age of Empires can be played in a Free For All, in 1v1v1.

How can you beat Egypt?

What land is best?

What game should you play, through the ages or with Deathmatch? What Civilization can you play instead of Egypt. In old days, Choson and Hittite can always win. Egypt can beat both, but in different ways.

Age of Empires Win 2, Egypt --- a Castle Siege Page

Castle Siege War, BuildingaPage – Wordpress Out
by Jacob Malewitz

What is Castle Siege? Castle Siege is a game I am designing for the last year. It's partly paper, partly strategy, partly castle defence, and a war in arrows with 3 castles holding viewpoints. What is the strategy? You create a nation, you defend it, you approach it an empire the likes of HALO.

Jacob Malewitz
Age of Empires Win 2, Byzantium
A Castle Siege Page, Part 1

Byzantine in Spanish in age of empires is game. Spanish hit me with conquistador the conquistador marks with arrow, conquistador uses arrow by sword Byzantines quit use cataphract, the hottest cavalry unit in the game against siege, buildings, and infantry, and a hot move to take gold maps.

The idea was to win on Byzantine My favorite civilization  in age of empires win 2 is Byzantine. I was planning to invade Spanish whom had castle to build cavalry you build stables, they kill infantry and spearmen and certain unique units in game.
t
Byzantines use cataphract, to build cavalry you build stables and to build cataphract you use castles. Idea is castle siege page for lighter and bottle, off a hardcover novel.

Cataphracts are the hottest weapon, with blades so hot and a speed so hot you can almost beat game. Hot as Egyptians in first age of empires, who last with chariots, who last with short sword, and can conquer all of civilization but have a book and Empire with Pharaoh. Their army is best kadesh. Byzantine page says the hottest Byzantine battle is Justinian, and you should see game as win both, and that the Egyptians are about hotted by me and that Choson and Hittite wont win land and Egypt page like this.

Byzantines use cataphract, but game is Egyptian in out to jacket and win of white color for flag. I used cataphrct and arrow, and game says since you counter hot with Byzantine you should try more to win on points and chess pay.  Threee barracks were in operation, and I was building champisons. Are stables to beat Building arrow with cataphract whom had to invade. I was building Spanish four stables to beat Byzantines to invade I was building building champions with sword.

Game was lost by arrow. Game was played by Spanish and Mayan. The Spanish quit and my ally quit said quit. I played the game as Byzantines, Byzantines won arrow by sword Byzantines played Japanese a trick, they turned.

What is Egypt?

What is Byzantine blade?

Who is the Egyptian sword? Who  is empire? What is short sword in first game? What is Cataphract in second game?

Napoleon is here. Napoleon is here. Who is operation, who is game, what is meal, weapon, and pay for Egypt? What is book and city for Byzantium, a castle to out.

Byzantines played Japanese a trick. They turned. Byzantines siad they would turn on the Japanese it was a deathmatch game. The Japanese turned on me and hit me with arrow. Byzantines hit me hard they used cataphract defense to play me a game against the Japanese. The Japanese turned on me.  I played the Byzantines a cataphract I used a scout.  I was playing as scout rider on vol, an open source system. Three play. You hit them with cataphract, horse, charge a champion a champion, Byzantines hit the Japanese hard. Scout goes with the Japanese taken over by champion Champion is taken.

Champion is taken unit for Vikings. It beats knight. The Vikings are good but the Vikings are good but the Vikings never used them in game. This was land map.

The teuton unique unit is tuetonic arrow. The knight is heavy cavalry and it has option of arrow. The teutons use heavy siege, such as bombard cannnon, to attack heavy fortifications. I have used heavy siege siege siege as advance base I would build heavy forfifications in front, to win online game In this game I used Vikings as a play - I wanted hun - so I used the Viking as a play for ship but I did not so I wanted to use Viking for ship.  But I did not see the land mass they were using The game was coastal, th Arabia, then it turned into frozen winter I wanted to ally with hun, chin-nook, and crossbow I wanted crossbow., but the Vikings have no crossbow we used crossbow we used halberdiers, horse archer, and catapult to attack the Chinese I don’t like the Chinese -- they cheat in game like Korean.  We turned on Chn-nook aout of castle and they used horse archer to end the game. Game was over. 1300. Scout Rider won 50+ for game, 1450.

Game was lost by arrow. Game is game master guide.

Age of Empires is a hard game, game was won hard by a fast strike for the flank Age of empires was won on this. The Spanish quit on me. Fast strike was for mayan, in a different game-- game went Viking-went halbierder Game went Viking for We used halbcerdiers and scout rider is playing against hun, tueton, and I was allied with Chinese. The Chinese have chin-nook  as unique unit Hun have horse archer.

Game went Viking We used halberdiers and scout rider is playing against hun, tueton, and I was allied with
Chinese. The Chinese have Chin-nook as unique unit Hun have Tartar as unique unit I used cavalry, horse archer, to kill Chinese chin-nook as unique unit I turned on the Chinese and tried to ally with hun in Loki game, this was the clan on Vol I joined because they wanted me to up for powere and fun They wanted me to up ratings The Viking unique unit is horse archer Why would the Vikings have horse archer as unique unit when they have axe thrower The halberdier is another unique unit

Game was not over Game allowed so for Vol source We won the horse archer, a recorderd game, and I was allowed to write about the game

- Viking have horse archer
-Viking have trebuchet
-Vikings use halberder to beat cavalry sometimes players too confident with them
-You need to have massed army, combined army, and city protected by army
For defence in this game I used horse archer. . .

Money in American Sport Jacket
Shirt Andrew Bolton Red
Jkwon hood hop Red Hat

Egypt Deathtch game, Sol Win

I was in Egypt in a deathmatch game, avast, playing against Babylon, a used source game This was not on vol Scout Rider played the ge on 1800, in an old game, but the game was won by sword I used chariot in the game for a strong game -- Egypt lost the game early Egypt won the game early by 3-phase you win the game by sword you win the game by chariot and you win the game by deathmatch The deathmatch game was won by me early  I played three chariots early, for a scouting party You win 3 chariots for a scouting party because you have to scout for foraging and city City is winning Scout is winning The short sword can win against shield is strong here. The sword and spear as chariot. The chariot archer is strong -- it is my favorite and can win against Babylonian chariot archer

The city was protected by army The city was strong in spear and chariot With Egypt, in age of empires, your king is pharaoh Your houses are different, and your technology is different Your technology is sword and gathering wood With Egypt, in age of empires, your king is pharaoh needed an overlord, a seer, and a bringer

Your houses are different because you need to win in game and you need to have houses for population A pharaoh would bring more houses

Your technology is different for game -- you would need to research it and invest in it

The game was won by chariot Babylon attacked and used chariot, horse archer, and catapult.

I attacked with elephant, chariot, and a fleet I had a fleet on the map game game game I attacked with elephant chariot and a fleet I had a fleet on the map The map was called overlord and lowtrdlands and marshlands Scout rider was my alias, and this was a game who liked hitting me on zone for deathmatch age of empires game.

Social media is hot. Age of empires is hot. The player I played in game was found on social media site. He had a higher ranking than me. He was 1900, Legionairre. The player, Legionnaire, called me out to another game to win his name. He wanted to play Egyptian against me--so I played Hittite. Hittite is hot map. Egypt and Ramses II fight Hittite Kadesh, and win with chariot sword. The Hittites have chariot archer, but they are weak compared to horse archer. Horse archer is hottest unit--with catapult-- for Hittite empire.

The horse archer is weak, unless you protect it with a retreat form or a mass of infantry The mass infantry is strong for catapult Catapult protection. Hittite is strong with horse archer In game, and in history, they have money and power They are strong in catapult and can conquer city. Hittite is the conqueror of empires. Egypt is hotter because it respects other empires and can conquer easier in this sense. Egypt is undervalued early history, then is approached for millenia for how and why you run empires with ideas of different monarch standards.

Game is here. Egypt is hottest map.

The best reasons to use Hittites--
They have strong catapult
Horse archer can be used for scouting and can raid city.
In DM game they can beat Choson, early Korean empire, have strongest light sword.

Social media is hot. Social media says next game should take next name, early buy of something, and win something. It’s short story idea. Age of empires would say game is hot, but Civilization is early game it bases some moves on. Who is publisher, who is page, what is win of history book to you then a similar page like this. Do you show moves this hot? Yes, writer myth is you lose your move.
n
Scout Rider is best name. Prototype on a blog might say meal, jacket, pay of game.

Scout rider is not as hot as other names. Early idea on zone is, Zacko The Great is hottest dm player then you have real map players with other hot scores. Early articles on this site helped me understand Hittite and Choson are hot on DM, but I wanted to try a hot different civilization for game, like I did Greeks and Egypt in Civilization 1 and 2.

Does this buy you AOE 2 for Byzantium game? Where is Rome? Who is general other than you’d see in Age of Empires.

Game is here. Egypt is hottest civ.

What Hittites might lack:
They have no long sword like Choson
They cant king chariot or heroes like Egypt.
The Hittites are never allowed technology--the game fast.

I hit him with horse archer fast. The horse archer is a fast unit in any map. I used it to bring Legionairres city to Egypt, in a rush, but was countered by his rush.

Horse archer hit the rear of his city.

It had:
Farm
House
Town Center

The farms were unprotected, they had villagers, and I was was able to wipe out empire. I hit his houses next--but he had a army. The army went into his TC, (town center), and pushed army away.

Military:
The best military units of Egypt are their Chariots and CAs with +33 % hitpoints and Nobility who get all upgrades (and their Priests with all technologies). They should balance the poor infantry (nothing beyond the Short Swordsman) and siege weapons (only STs).
The infantry is pretty awful - only Short Swordsmen and without piercing armour. But then Egypt can do without infantry from Bronze onwards - so who cares? There are good Slingers with most Iron Age upgrades, but no Siegecraft and no extra shielding. The Academy is bad too - again: Egypt doesn't need infantry so who cares?
The archery is good with full range and all technologies including Chain Mail - Egypt only doesn't get the Horse Archer - well, it can convert them, no problem.
Egypt doesn't get any Cavalry but it can convert those too. Poor siege weapons - there are only Stone Throwers here with extra range in Iron.
Egypt has alhl walls and all Towers, full range and Alchemy. The navy is nothing special but they do get everything.” AOKHEAVEN, HeavenGames

The Egyptian hit me hard. He had chariot in his city. I raided him again. I added chariot. The chariot is a strong unit for Egyptian, with its ability to use both chariot archer and chariot sword. It’s not expensive unit in game, but in past the best weapon on the battlefield.
The chariot is a strong unit for Hittite.  In ancient history, the Egyptians and Hittites did fight. What is the fght, for empire, for Arabia, for Babylon, and for Kadesh. In move, Ramses II takes Egypt to the Sinai, and wins Jordan and most of the Arabian peninsula, then his holdings in Kadesh lose. The battle is there, and a win for the Egyptian Pharaoh and his empire.
The catapult is a powerful siege weapon in Age of Empires. I used the catapult to attack his city next.
--I built a forward base.
--I used a catapult
--I used the horse archer
--I used light cavalry
I started hitting his forward base. His forward base had: siege, stable, farm, and town center.  The Eg yptt ians -- Legionairre--hit me again. He let me hit his city and I did not see his army I destroyed his city.  And I did not see his army. I destroyed his city but he was prepared I hit him with arrow I hit him with sword I hit his city with a legion of men and I hit him with a catapult.  I he Egypt in game? Why does he want my civilization? Is he copying me on a move? As a mountain biker and short story writer, you might say, odds are he wants to take moves on me on pay. In game, rushers do this; in game, a  rusher can turn into the worst or best gamer with a strategy wrong.

Flank. Is that better? Did Wellington copy napoleon? Did Caesar copy Augustus? Did Scipio beat Hannibal? Would you say, playing Egypt, is this Civilization the best out, the most copied, and the one you should glory more? That is the age of empires 600 philosophy.
Il b saw his forward base
I saw his 2nd city
My city was hit by another Egyptian.
Nubians are rich, and Egypts rich, but won’t lose to flank easy, and can take a southern front hot like Ramses II in Jordan right before Kadesh. Ramses has other wins; flanks and wins of war only? No, but he is there hottest commander, holder of a king line from Thebes saying, yes, but we create the next civilization, the next empire, and can take all of asia off you Persian Elephants.
I used light cavalry, wind riders with the idea of empire to them, by a king you can’t beat in game unless you hero Tutankahmen. I uxec catapult, hot players for Egypt game but not as hot as the Hittite catapult. I used light cavalry  and catapult to attarm with strong army. This was my strategy in another game, Battletech. Battletech was strong in strategy--it had MechWarrior, a shooter game on plains like isle, but it had no strategy role playing game for pc like age of empires. Look, you might make me wrong. Look, you’d see other game books on it that can show pay and a cool, like Eve tech or Robotech. And in my case, strategy folder is hot.
The strategy was to hit their base. Rift says, pay is 220 for your game, on novel buy. That is the cool for the drink and your red shirt. The strategy hit me hard:  scout rider wanted to hit base Egypt, the opponent, in game, and Battletech wanted to hit base with two mech, 7 mech would retreat, then I would be able to build forward base.

Another strategy I would use in Battletech and now Eve: I would hit their base with light and assault army: I would never use medium army The medium army would be the unique unit in the game.
In another game called civilization I would retreat and attack. Then I would flank with cavalry; my hottest move napoloeon is a win here, and brits lose because they lose to navy. Cavalry flank is easy: jump right, jump left, but always take a western point or high ground. Once you do that, build army, and try to militarize your city with something. I can siege: siege would mean you, take high ground next, then take out army in advance, then you can beat army with siege.

From Civilization to Age of Empires -- A Short History of Strategy Games
Computer strategy games like Civilization, Age of Empires, and Warcraft, are known to those familiar with the genres. However, there are plenty of unknowns in the field of computer strategy games that should get more exposure. On the other hand, Civilization is little known to many players: most go with the Playstation or X-Box games.

I have a deep joy for strategy games and, in a sense, a bitter hatred for them taking so much from my early childhood. I would spend far to many hours trying to conquer the world. I still play -- and too much -- but they are fun -- and I Can write about them.

RPGs like Everquest and FPS like Halo dominate the consoles, but strategy games have no success in those fields; you need a computer to enjoy them most. This is similar to Halo. I enjoy Playstation games, but strategy is better. If you want a shooter, such as Doom, you can get it on a PC: Halo went his way, so did Crysis.

While Civilization was far from the first strategy game to have worldwide success, it did play an integral part in the development of a loyal fan base. It was created by the gaming genius Sid Meier.

Games like Risk and Chess were the precursors to the strategy games of today and, even in the early years of gaming, could be played on your computer.

What was lacking in these time honored games was the fact they didn't utilize what a computer could do. Civilization has always had one of the better Computer AIs. There were some stark comparisons: the best strategy games, like the best board games, are infinitely replayable. Every game could be a different world with different opponents.

Civilization was a game with two options, either conquer the world or reach Alpha Centauri first. Those were the goals, but governing an entire civilization was what made it work. War. Politics. Trade. Science. You could pick from over a dozen civilizations, from the Romans to the Greeks, the Mongols to the Chinese. All these things were involved in the game. All these things made it highly addictive.

And it wasn't just about graphics, those would be improved in later versions, and different types of games like Warcraft.showed what could be done with graphics. Age of Empires would use Speed, much like Warcraft, but you would have to mark resources in different ways. You would need gold, wood, food, stone, and sometimes even fish.

Strategy was paramount; guide your civilization from the stone age to the modern age. Sometimes you would have to get out of the game, play a new one, and start winning. I could win sometimes, but sometimes the computer outplays you, and this is a hard Chess game.

Civilization 2 could be the finest strategy game, not to mention sequel, ever made. It incorporated far superior graphics with new takes on the first Civilization. I played Civilization 2 more than any other game in my entire life. I would rise early just to play the game more.

Soon, other games came into the background.

Colonization was another Sid Meier game that focused on the years of colonizing the Americas. You had less options for civilizations, but it was like taking a small portion of a book and making it into a short story where you could focus on one single point in time. The graphics on this game, and the first Civilization, are very outdated, but I would recommend it.

Master of Orion 2 was perhaps the best of the old galactic games. From what I've read, the third game in the series was far inferior to the second. Master of Orion was like Civilization in space, where decisions were made, war a constant, and spreading your civilization important. A recent game has come close to defeating Master of Orion. Galactic Civilizations succeeded in making an excellent turn based strategy game, as well as a good sequel. Both Orion and Galactic are similar, and could be recommended, but there is one old game that merits a look.

Ascendancy came out over a decade ago. I bought it for a reasonable price, still hot from my addiction to Master of Orion. Ascendancy really surprised me and, though it wasn't perfect, came close to defeating Master of Orion. The amount of micro-management grew the more your civilization went; yet things like creating a civilizations characteristics make it an excellent older game.

I still wanted to live in the real world. I bought Civilization 3 and was very disappointed; the graphics were better, but it just didn't look good next to Civilization 2.

Warcraft and Age of Empires are the two best real time strategy games around.

I had played Warcraft 2 some years before. While many know World of Warcraft - which I never played - there are just as many fans of the strategy game. What really made Warcraft work was the story behind it. Straight out of a world similar to Middle Earth (Tolkien's Lord of the Rings), came a new take on Humans and Orcs. The setting was medieval, yet magic was also incorporated. I was exasperated with Warcraft 2 for a long time, and though it wasn't as addictive as Civilization, the graphics and videos were superb.

Warcraft 3 I wouldn't have played nearly as much had I not become addicted to the Blizzard online gaming. This was incredible; replayability for Warcraft was doubled.

The first game I ever played online was Age of Empires. The first two games of the series weren't necessarily superor to Warcraft, but, I liked to play in the real world more than with magic. I have yet to play Age of Empires 3 due to poor reviews, but the first two games in the series kept me at the computer for days.

The first time I played Age of Empires I was reminded of its RTS competitor Warcraft. Warcraft is very similar to Empires. Set in ancient times with soldiers like Centurions and Horse Archers, the game differs from Civilization in that, like Warcraft, you have missions instead of playing a single game vying for power of the world.

Still, the game wouldn't have been half as good had I not connected to the internet and started playing others. Like Warcraft, when playing online scores can be improved by winning and this makes it a very competitive environment.

The sequel to Age of Empires, Age of Kings, improved on the game in many aspects: it was set during the medieval era, was easier to micromanage, and had very good graphics. Unlike Civilization, each different civilization had unique characteristics: The Franks have strong cavalry while the Mayans have no cavalry at all.

I'm sure I've missed some major gaming moments in this discussion. It's odd that the game I like the least, Warcraft 3, was really better than Civilization 3 and Age of Empires 3.

Command and Conquer was also a very good game, but, in terms of the top three strategy games, it doesn't fit in with what I want in terms of interesting replayabilility.

There are other strategy games I would like to look at if I ever get the chance. I have recently found good reviews of the game Homeworld.

In another article, I will document the rise of the First Person Shooter. Gamers should find that article enlightening, though I won't lie that strategy games are it for me.
